Prepared for a Hurricane - Checklist
The Atlantic Coast
hurricane season is from June 1 to November 30, however, we are
most vulnerable from mid-August to early November. Here is a
checklist of some steps you should take, and items you should
have available even before a hurricane watch or warning is
announced:

Make sure your car has a full tank of gas
q Manually-operated
can opener
q
Canned and packaged foods, milk and other
beverages
q Extra
medicine, baby food, diapers, etc.
q First Aid Kit
q
Battery-operated radio
q Flashlight
q Matches
q Extra
batteries
q Portable ice
chest
q One gallon of
water per each member of your household
