AB MAYOR ELECTED TO TOP NASSAU
COUNTY VILLAGE OFFICIALS' POST

The Nassau County Village Officials Association (NCVOA) elected Atlantic Beach Mayor Stephen Mahler as NCVOA first vice president for 2004-05, at NCVOA'S annual meeting on April 13.
The NCVOA represents 64 incorporated villages with more than 430,000 residents and associate members in the cities of Glen Cove and Long Beach.
As first vice president, Mayor Mahler will be responsible for establishing NCVOA policies and directing the organization's efforts on behalf of village residents throughout Nassau County.
"I am honored to be selected by
my peers for this important role," Mahler said. "Village government is the government closest to the people -- the most efficient and effective vehicle for delivering services to residents. The NCVOA has played an integral role in advocating for village residents. I look forward to working with all village officials in ensuring that we continue to be a strong voice for our residents, both in Nassau County and the State of New York."
